Missing Ntcheu Teen Found Alive and Safe

Police in Ntcheu have confirmed that 18-year-old Talandira Mukhuna, who was reported missing on October 12 this year, has been found alive and in good health.
Ntcheu Police spokesperson Jacob Khembo said Mukhuna was located in Kampepuza through the help of community policing members.
“Media reports also played a crucial role in spreading information about the missing girl. We are grateful that no life has been lost, especially considering that the girl has challenges with independent decision-making,” said Khembo.
He, however, did not confirm whether police will open a case to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Meanwhile, social media users have expressed curiosity over the girl’s whereabouts during the time she was missing, with some calling for clarity on what really happened.
Despite the public speculation, authorities say details remain confidential in line with legal provisions protecting minors and vulnerable persons involved in such cases.
