Primary School Teacher Commits Suicide in Ntchisi

Patrick Machila, 37, a teacher at Magawa Primary School in Ntchisi District, has died in a suspected suicide by hanging.

Ntchisi Police spokesperson Salomy Zgambo confirmed the incident, saying the exact reason behind Machila’s actions remains unknown.

According to police, Machila went to school as usual but did not return afterward, prompting concern among his colleagues.

When they went to check on him at his house, they were shocked to find him hanging from the ceiling.

A medical report from Kamsonga Junior Hospital later revealed that he died due to weakness resulting from a suffocation.
