Balaka Teachers Threaten Protest Over Unpaid Election Wages

Reports reaching this publication indicate that some teachers who worked during the elections in Balaka District have said they will start a protest on October 27 if they do not receive their wages by the end of today.
According to a letter from the group, the protest will take place at the district election offices.
The teachers expressed disappointment that they have not been paid for the work they did in September.
Malawi held elections for the president, members of parliament, and mayors on October 16.
