Mysterious Owl Delivers Threatening Letters to Nkhotakota Home, Police Investigate

A bizarre and unsettling incident unfolded in Phangwa Village, Nkhotakota, when a mysterious owl was discovered inside the home of a local man, carrying two letters containing direct threats against his marriage.
According to the messages written in the letters, an unknown individual is demanding that the wife of the household leave her husband, a man named Thom, for reasons that remain unclear.
The letters contained alarming commands, stating: “Give me my husband,” and “You Thom, I have come. Let’s go, we are doing this job together, let’s go.”
The strange and threatening nature of the event caused panic in the household, prompting residents to alert the Nkhotakota Police Station. Officers swiftly responded to the scene to secure the area.
Upon arrival, the police managed to successfully capture the owl and seize the letters as evidence.
When contacted for comment, Nkhotakota Police Spokesperson Paul Malimwe confirmed the incident but stated that investigators need more time before an official statement can be released.
“The police are analysing the evidence and investigating the circumstances surrounding this unusual event,” Malimwe said. “We urge the public to remain calm and avoid speculation.”
Authorities have not yet identified the sender of the messages or determined how the owl was used to deliver them. Investigations are ongoing.
