Fire Guts Part of NASFAM Cooking Oil Factory in Phalombe

Information reaching our news desk indicates that a fire last night destroyed part of the National Smallholder Farmers’ Association of Malawi (NASFAM) cooking oil factory in Phalombe District.
According to NASFAM executive Angus Nyangulu, who spoke to Zodiak, the blaze affected a section of the warehouse where goods and equipment are stored.
Nyangulu said the cause of the fire is yet to be established, adding that an assessment to determine the extent of the damage is currently underway.
