The government says it has taken decisive measures to stabilise the fuel situation in the country, assuring the public that normal fuel supply will resume soon.
In a statement, Minister of Information and Communications Technology Shadric Namalomba attributed the current fuel shortages to logistical challenges along the main supply routes through Tanzania.
“The Government acknowledges the continued patience and cooperation from the public and wishes to assure the nation that comprehensive efforts are underway to restore stable and sustainable fuel availability across the country,” Namalomba said.
His remarks come as long queues of motorists continue to form at fuel stations nationwide, with many still struggling to access petrol and diesel.
