Man Arrested For Playing With Private Parts of Teen Boys in Mangochi

Mangochi Police have arrested 45-year-old Ben Kamando, a driver, for allegedly exploiting boys aged 14 to 20 playing with their private parts while working in his home under suspicious circumstances.
According to Mangochi Police Spokesperson Amina Tepani Daudi, Kamando has been engaging in this practice since 2023 until October 2025. He reportedly drives a Toyota Sienta from Mangochi to Salima and back, during which he takes the boys to his home in Mangochi. The suspects live with Kamando, while his own family resides in Golomoti, Dedza District.
The case came to light when a 14-year-old boy, initially hired to help with household chores, disclosed Kamando’s repeated misconduct to his peers. The matter was subsequently reported to the police.
“When asked, Kamando admitted he wanted to see if the boys could handle domestic tasks, but this conduct is considered exploitation of minors,” said Daudi.
Kamando has been charged under Section 156 of the Malawi Penal Code, which deals with the exploitation and abuse of children.
Kamando, from Saitikadzuwa Village, T/A Mponda, Mangochi, is expected to appear in court once the investigation is completed.
