Man Hangs Himself Following Fight With Wife Over K5000 In Chiradzulu

Police in Chiradzulu are investigating a case in which a 45-year-old man, Graciano Yohane, died by suicide following a domestic disagreement with his wife, Eneless Kachere.

According to district police spokesperson Hubert Mwangoka, the couple had gone out for drinks on Monday, and Yohane gave his wife K5,000 to keep.

Later that evening, when he asked her to return the money, she reportedly refused, as she was too intoxicated at the time. The disagreement escalated, and Kachere left the house for the night.

Mwangoka said that when Kachere returned the following morning, she found Yohane hanging from the ceiling. The situation worsened when Yohane’s brothers allegedly assaulted her, accusing her of being responsible for his death.

She sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Chiradzulu District Hospital.

Police say investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
