The Shepherd Bushiri Foundation, led by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, has announced the launch of the Talent Scouting Football Bonanza, a nationwide initiative designed to identify and nurture raw football talent from districts across Malawi.
According to the Foundation’s Director of Communication, Aubrey Kusakala, the program will kick off in Mchinji on November 29, 2025, with more districts scheduled to follow in the coming months.
“Technical teams from Goshen City Dedza Dynamos FC, along with several of our sporting partners, will be present to assess and scout promising players,” Kusakala said.
He emphasized that through the Foundation’s Talent Scouting Football Bonanza Competitions, the organization aims to unlock potential, elevate young careers, and meaningfully contribute to the growth of Malawi’s football landscape.
Kusakala further stated that the Foundation intends to grow the initiative into an annual programme.
“It is our hope to develop this into an annual projectone that will not only benefit Goshen City Dedza Dynamos but also provide a platform for other teams invited to participate in future Bonanza events,” he added.
He acknowledged that while Malawi has a wealth of football talent, challenges remain in identifying, developing, and exposing players to bigger opportunities. The initiative, he said, also forms part of a long-term strategy to strengthen Goshen City Dedza Dynamos FC as the club prepares for next season.
Despite Dynamos currently sitting 14th in the TNM Super League, Kusakala expressed confidence in the team’s ability and determination to fight for survival and remain in the league.
The launch event in Mchinji will be spiced up with live performances by music stars Driemo and Lady Aika.
