Mighty Wanderers have written a formal complaint to the Super League of Malawi (SULOM), expressing dissatisfaction with the match officials who handled their league encounter against Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.
The match ended in a 2–2 draw, but Wanderers argue that a key officiating decision unfairly denied them a winning goal.
In the letter signed by club Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi, Wanderers accuse assistant referee Samuel Fudzulani of raising his flag in error a move which led referee Alfred Chilinda to disallow Clement Nyondo’s goal for offside.
Ndovi further claims that the decision was unjustified and is calling on SULOM to suspend the entire officiating team pending an investigation into the incident.
He adds that Wanderers want SULOM to award them a 3–2 victory, arguing that the disallowed goal should have stood, and therefore the club should receive all three points.
SULOM is yet to comment on the matter
