Old Mutual’s Family Day Resurfaces In Style

Employees of one of the leading Insurance companies in the country, Old Mutual Malawi on Saturday took a break from their busy offices to have fun with their family members at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KuHES)Sports Complex.

Dubbed Old Mutual’s Family, the employees together with their families participated in various sporting activities such as football, Netball, Aerobics, Jumping Castle, dancing competition and swimming.

Speaking in an interview with the press Old Mutual Group’s Human Capital Executive Rex Kadzongwe said the day has been organized to allow employees to have time with their families members.

“As you all know that all employees of our company spend most of their time at office and they don’t have much time with their loved ones. This is now the time for each one of us to have fun together with our families and also know each other,” said Kadzongwe.

He then urged the employees to participate in each and every activity.

On her part Slivia Kamanga, a spouse to one of the Old Mutual’s employee hailed the company for coming up with such an activity.

“This is very nice activity and i will use the family day as one way of interacting with my family in a free environment,” said Kamanga.

The event started with a big walk from Old Mutual Head Office in Blantyre to KUHES. In the past 5 years, Old Mutual suspended the Family Day activity due to COVID-19.

This year’s event was held under the theme; ‘One Team One Mission’.
