Man Dies By Hanging In Nkhata Bay

A 40-year-old man, John Banda, was found dead in an apparent suicide in Nkhata Bay district.
The incident occurred in Mponda village, where Banda had been living alone following his separation from his wife.
According to Police Spokesperson Enala Kalua, Banda’s brother visited his home to discuss some matters.
Upon entering the house, the brother was immediately struck by an unusual odor and discovered Banda’s body hanging from the ceiling.
The police are investigating the incident further.
Banda was originally from Mponda village in the Timbiri T/A area.
