Woman Dies in Head-On Collision on Mwanza-Zalewa M6 Road

A woman identified as Patience Khembo has tragically died in a road accident at Chifunga area along the Mwanza-Zalewa M6 road in Neno.
According to Neno Police Public Relations Officer Rebecca Msoliza, the accident occurred on 30 November.
Khembo, who was driving a Toyota Axio saloon (registration number BLK 9589) from Zalewa to Mwanza, lost control of her vehicle near the Neno turn-off.
Her car swerved into the right lane and collided head-on with another vehicle, a truck (registration number ADC 0100/ACZ 9613), coming from the opposite direction.
Khembo suffered serious injuries, including a fractured right leg and arm, and was rushed to Mwanza District Hospital by well-wishers.
Sadly, she died while receiving treatment. While Khembo’s car was extensively damaged at the front, the truck also sustained significant damage, including deflated front tyres, but the truck driver emerged unscathed.
Khembo was from Lolo village, T/A Nanseta in Thyolo district.
