Information reaching this publication indicates that students at Chibwe Primary School in Kasungu District vandalised the house of Parent Teachers Association (PTA) chairperson Limbani Chipala  today.

The learners acted after being told they would write examinations from the board despite having paid for printed papers.

Deputy headteacher, Rabson Makwakwa said this led the students to believe Chipala had misused the funds.

The group went to his house and destroyed property when they failed to find him. Chipala said he was disappointed that students were misled by some teachers.

He clarified that the examinations were still being printed and the process would be completed by Friday.

Items destroyed include solar equipment, an inverter, and garden tools.

The value of the damaged property has not yet been established.
