The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has ordered all central hospital departments to immediately replace health workers who were deemed unqualified during interviews held on 31st May and 1st June 2025.
This follows a memo dated 4th December 2025, in which the ministry cites advice from the Attorney General directing that no unqualified candidates whose recruitment had earlier been stopped by a court order should be allowed to proceed with their appointments.
According to the memo, the ministry has now been cleared to recruit only applicants who met the required qualifications, and departments have been instructed to fill all vacancies left by those disqualified.
The Secretary for Health has further warned that all public officers must fully comply with the court directive as the ministry works to rectify the recruitment process and ensure that only competent and qualified personnel are placed in the health system.
