Man Arrested for Allegedly Selling Cannabis in Chitipa

Police in Chitipa have arrested 45-year-old Godfrey Sikapite for allegedly selling cannabis without a permit in Siyombwe.
Chitipa Police spokesperson Gladwell Simwaka told Zodiak Online that Sikapite was apprehended on Tuesday by detectives conducting routine patrols in the area. Officers suspected him of dealing in the illegal substance, which he was found hiding in a bag.
“Police recovered a total of 516 grams of cannabis from the suspect,” Simwaka said.
Sikapite is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to the possession and sale of cannabis without authorization.
