Court Denies Bail to Chayamba Secondary Students Accused of Vandalism

A court in Kasungu has denied bail to three students from Chayamba Secondary School who are suspected of taking part in the destruction of school property.

According to Judge Samuel Chakudza, the students are facing charges of unlawful destruction of property. Before the case proceeds, the court is expected to visit Chayamba Secondary School tomorrow to inspect the damaged facilities.

The incident occurred on the night of December 1, when some students allegedly vandalised teaching and learning materials, the head teacher’s office, and other school structures.
