Four-Year-Old Boy Electrocuted After Power Lines Fall in Nsanje

Police in Nsanje have confirmed the death of a four-year-old boy, Love Love, who was electrocuted after coming into contact with fallen electricity wires.

According to Nsanje Police spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma, the child was playing with live power cables that had been brought down by strong winds and heavy rains experienced in parts of the district.

Zalakoma said the boy was found unresponsive and was rushed to Nsanje District Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

Police have since urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their children, especially during the rainy season when electrical hazards are more common.
