Man Arrested For Raping Minor During Driemo’s Show In Mwanza

Police in Mwanza have arrested Chisomo Minjale, 26, for raping a 13-year-old girl.

According to police spokesperson Hope Kasakula, the incident occurred on December 13, 2025. Minjale, who is involved in the matola business, took the girl and another friend to a nightclub where popular singer Driemo was performing.

Kasakula said that upon entering, the suspects allegedly made the girl drink alcohol and had sex with her.

Following this, the story spread, to the point where the girl’s mother questioned Minjale but he denied that he was just doing his normal job that day.

This led the mother to file a complaint, and medical results confirmed that the girl had indeed been raped.

Minjale is expected to appear before court soon
