FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have dismissed head coach Peter Mponda with immediate effect, the club has confirmed.
In a statement released on December 21, 2025, Big Bullets said the decision was made following an internal review of the team’s performance.
Mponda, who was appointed at the start of the 2025 season, guided The People’s Team to victory in the Airtel Top 8, one of the club’s major achievements this year.
“We are grateful to Peter for his commitment and service during his time with the club and wish him well for the future,” reads part of the statement issued by Bullets Media.
The club has since appointed Gilbert Chirwa, who was serving as assistant coach, as interim head coach until the end of the current season.
Mponda’s dismissal comes just a day after Big Bullets missed out on the TNM Super League title, which was clinched by rivals Mighty Wanderers, a development that is believed to have influenced the club’s decision.
