A 40-year-old man has drowned in Lake Malawi around Chindozwa Fishing Camp in Nkhata Bay District.
Deputy public relations officer for Nkhata Bay Police, Devetor Mithi, identified the deceased as Nyozani Mhone, who was epileptic.
Mithi said Mhone went missing before his body was later discovered floating along the shores of the lake.
A postmortem examination revealed that death was due to suffocation secondary to drowning.
