Consumers Reject ADMARC’s K65,000 Maize Price in Monkey Bay

Residents in Monkey Bay have boycotted the sale of maize at the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) market, protesting the K65,000 price for a 50kg bag.
Queen Christopher, a local, expressed disappointment, saying she expected the price to be around K35,000 per bag. She questioned how ADMARC could set such a high price when vendors are selling maize at K50,000 per 50kg bag.
The people who came to buy maize left the market in protest. ADMARC has yet to comment on the situation.
