Redson Munlo, a known member of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), has resigned from the party.
Speaking at a news briefing in Blantyre on Wednesday morning, Munlo said his decision to quit MCP was personal.
“I have stopped partisan politics but remain politically conscious,” he said.
Munlo, a politician and activist, joined MCP at a rally addressed by former president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Meanwhile, MCP Deputy Spokesperson Ken Nsonda is yet to comment on the development.
