Former Defence Minister Amadeus Maluza Laid to Rest in Dedza

The body of former Defence Minister during United Democratic Front (UDF) era, Amadeus Monjeza Maluza has been laid to rest in his home village of Ntakakata in Dedza District.
Maluza, who served as Member of Parliament for Dedza East, now known as Dedza Ntakakata, died on January 5, 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the President, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shadric Namalomba said government was deeply saddened by the passing of the veteran politician.
The late Amadeus Monjeza Maluza was born in 1936 and died at the age of 89.
