Kabaza Operator Hired to Transport Child to School Arrested for Allegedly Defiling Her

Police at Mimosa in Mulanje have arrested 36-year-old Allan Sauzande for allegedly defiling a four-year-old girl.
Mulanje Police publicist, Innocent Moses, said the incident is suspected to have occurred within the Ruo Tea Estate.
The suspect, a motorcycle taxi (Kabaza) operator, had been hired by the family to transport the child to and from school. It is reported that on the day of the incident, Sauzande picked up the child as usual and dropped her off in the evening before leaving for other duties.
The matter came to light when the minor complained to her grandmother of pain in her private parts. When questioned, the girl revealed that she had been sexually assaulted by Sauzande. Medical tests conducted at a nearby hospital later confirmed the defilement.
Sauzande, who hails from Mambulu Village, Traditional Authority Sunganimzere in the district was dragged to police station and he will appear in court soon to answer charges of defilement.
