Mwanza Police Arrest 60-Year-Old Man for Possessing Medical Drugs Without Permit

Mwanza Police have arrested a 60-year-old man, Bonex Tebulo, on suspicion of possessing medical drugs without a permit.
Mwanza Police deputy spokesperson, Ritta Mchecheta, said Tebulo was arrested at a checkpoint where officers were conducting routine searches.
She explained that Tebulo had boarded a minibus travelling from Mwanza to Blantyre.
During the search, police discovered two boxes containing 72 bottles, each holding 500 tablets of a medical drug identified as Metronidazole.
Mchecheta added that Tebulo hails from Nampwalala Village in Traditional Authority Mumba, Phalombe District.
He is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to the unlawful possession of medical drugs.
