Former Minister of Homeland Security Ezekiel Ching’oma is expected to appear in court today, where he will be formally charged following his arrest last week.
National Police spokesperson Lael Chimtembo and Ching’oma’s lawyer, Jefferson Luwa, have both confirmed the court appearance.
According to Chimtembo, his client, Ching’oma, is suspected of fraud, but declined to disclose further details surrounding the case.
Ching’oma was arrested on Thursday and has since spent at least four nights in police custody as investigations continued.
