Zomba Police Impound 32 Unregistered Motorcycles

Police in Zomba have seized 32 motorcycles that were found to be unregistered and lacking other roadworthiness certificates.
Zomba Police spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano said the motorcycles have been impounded since Friday last week.
She added that the owners will only be allowed to reclaim their motorcycles after registering them with the Directorate of Road Traffic Safety Services and ensuring that the riders obtain valid motorcycle licences.
Police have since warned motorcycle operators in the district to comply with road safety regulations, emphasizing that the operation will continue to promote safety and reduce road accidents.
