Blantyre Police Apprehend Four Suspects Linked to Namiwawa Armed Robbery

Police in Blantyre have arrested four suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Namiwawa earlier this month.
According to Blantyre Police Deputy Spokesperson, Doris Mwitha, the incident took place on January 17, 2026. The victim, 28-year-old FDH Bank marketing officer Shira Kanjo, was reportedly attacked by criminals armed with panga knives. The assailants made off with mobile phones, a laptop, and a smartwatch.
The suspects have been identified as Anderson Malidadi, 52, Enock Davison, 28, Mike Biton, 41 andCharles Nangwale, 38.
Mwitha confirmed that the suspects have since admitted to the crime. During interrogation, the group also revealed that they carried out a similar robbery in Thyolo district.
The four men remain in police custody while investigations continue. They are expected to appear in court shortly to answer to charges of robbery with violence.
