Bhima Ndalama Calls on Mama Cecilia Kadzamila to Reveal Truth About Dr. Kamuzu Banda

Renowned media personality and Luchenza Municipality Ward Councillor, Bhima Ndalama, has announced plans to formally engage Mama Cecilia Kadzamila, urging her to openly share what she knows about Malawi’s founding president, Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
Writing on his official Facebook page, Ndalama said he will soon write a letter to Mama Kadzamila, whom he described as one of the few remaining individuals capable of shedding light on long-standing questions surrounding Dr. Banda’s life and leadership.
According to Ndalama, Mama Kadzamila is uniquely positioned to clarify controversial issues that have circulated for decades, including claims about the “crocodile well,” Dr. Banda’s true country of origin, and whether he had a family or children outside Malawi.
Although officially known as Dr. Kamuzu Banda’s Official Hostess, Mama Cecilia Kadzamila was widely regarded by many Malawians as the country’s First Lady during Banda’s 30-year rule.

Ndalama stressed that with the passing of Malawi’s founding father, there is no longer any reason for fear or silence.
“Our late founder, Dr. Kamuzu Banda, is no longer alive, and there is no need for anyone to fear him anymore,” wrote Ndalama. “Please, Mama Kadzamila, be free and tell the nation the truth about our Dr. Kamuzu Banda.”
The remarks have sparked renewed public debate about Malawi’s history and the need for openness regarding the legacy of one of Africa’s most enigmatic leaders.
