Spanner Malawi Heads to South Africa for Eating Competition

Popular Malawian competitive eater Spanner Malawi, known for his extraordinary appetite and eating speed, is currently in South Africa, where he is set to participate in an upcoming eating competition.

The competition has been organized by Malawians based in South Africa, namely Alice Khan, Spie Pix, and Rute Make Labisoni. Spanner revealed that Rute Make Labisoni personally challenged him to take part in the contest.

He also encouraged other interested individuals with competitive eating skills to register and compete in the event.

The competition is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 7 February, at a popular venue known as Pak Wathu in Cape Town.

Winners of the competition will walk away with R3,500, while the runner-up will receive R500.

Spanner Malawi rose to international fame in September last year when he won an eating contest in Nigeria, astonishing fans by consuming 15 plates of nsima in under one minute. He earned K21 million, defeating Spanner FD in a competition hosted by Magic Show Time TV Official.
