Teacher Arrested For Raping Minor In Mchinji

Police in Mchinji district have arrested the headmaster of the Home of Hope Children’s Home for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.
Mchinji Police spokesperson Limbani Mpinganjira said the suspect has been identified as MacBisius Zuze of Kapanga Village in the Mavwere Traditional Authority area of the district.
Mpinganjira said Zuze, who has already appeared in court, is suspected to have committed the offence in his office on January 20 this year.
He said the girl initially refused the teacher’s advances but later lost control, after which the suspect allegedly promised her K10,000 to keep quiet.
The suspected will continue to appear in court for justice.
