Man Found Dead in Suspected Mob Justice in Neno

A 45-year-old man, McDonald Malisawo, has been found dead at Donda Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chekucheku in Neno District in what police suspect to be a case of mob justice.
Neno District Police spokesperson Rebecca Msoliza said Malisawo’s body was discovered by passersby along an earth road with a string tied to his left arm, indicating that he was assaulted by an unknown mob.
Msoliza said the deceased was known to have a criminal record.
A postmortem conducted at Neno District Hospital revealed that Malisawo died from head injuries secondary to assault.
Police have since intensified investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
