Arsenal dropped crucial points on Thursday night after being held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in an English Premier League clash.
The Gunners took the lead in the 61st minute through Noni Madueke, who finished from a Piero Hincapié assist to put Arsenal ahead. Brentford responded 10 minutes later when Keane Lewis-Potter struck from a corner to level the match at 1-1.
The result keeps the title race wide open, with Arsenal now leading the table by just four points ahead of Manchester City, with 12 matches remaining before the end of the season.
Should Arsenal go on to win the league, it would end a 22-year wait for the Premier League title, with attention then likely to turn to Manchester United, who have now gone 14 years without lifting the trophy.
