Police Intensify Search for Kidnapped Crossroads Hotel Manager

National Security Cabinet Secretary Peter Mukhito says the country’s police are doing everything possible to rescue Crossroads Hotel owner Sameer Sacranie, who was kidnapped by gunmen on February 6, 2026, from the hotel premises.
Mukhito said the country’s security agencies have launched a thorough investigation aimed at securing Sacranie’s safe return.
He emphasized that police have not received any reports supporting claims circulating among some members of the public that the kidnappers are demanding money for Sacranie’s release.
He appealed to citizens to remain calm and allow security agencies to carry out their work, adding that the criminals are attempting to test the country’s security forces.
