Witch Doctor To Spend 14 Years In Jail For Raping Client In Ndirande

A Blantyre court has sentenced 46-year-old Ndirande witch doctor, Ibrahim Malindima, to 14 years in prison for rape.
Prosecutor Felezia Zaina told the court that a young woman went to the witch doctor for help and was told to have sex with him to help her, but despite the girl’s refusal, the witch doctor still raped her.
The girl told her boyfriend that she had been raped by the witch doctor and they both reported the matter to the police, which led to his arrest.
Although the witch doctor denied the charges, prosecutors called four witnesses and the judge, Mphalulo Fatch, ordered the witch doctor to be jailed.
