The Usazam’biseso hit maker Cretik, has finally spoken out after facing a wave of criticism and online ridicule over the past week. The artist was mocked for allegedly losing his musical momentum after releasing just a single song under his record label deal.

Earlier today, a popular social media page reminded fans that Cretik had signed with Nd’feyo Entertainment last year. The label, once celebrated for its influence in the local music scene, has also been criticized for mismanaging some of its artists. Following the deal, Cretik reportedly released only a couple of songs before fans noticed a lull in his output.

Responding to the criticism, Cretik shared a heartfelt statement on social media:

“I’ve been seeing these kinds of posts and conversations this past week. To be honest, it hurts a little. I never imagined standing in this position. But life happens. Did I make mistakes? Yes. Did I get some decisions wrong? Yes. Have I learned? Absolutely. And I’m still learning. But one thing nobody can take away from me is this: I have never stopped working on my music. Not for a single moment. I’m obsessed with it. 24/7. Everything I’ve built, I built with hard work, consistency, and real supporters who genuinely love what I do. And if we did it before, we can do it again. On God.”

Cretik’s statement comes as a reminder that the creative journey is rarely smooth, and the artist appears determined to continue producing music despite public scrutiny. Fans and fellow musicians have flooded the comment section with messages of support, expressing hope that he will bounce back stronger.

This marks Cretik’s first public response since the online backlash, signaling that he is ready to focus on his craft and rebuild his momentum in the Malawian music industry.
