MISA Malawi Mourns Dzimwe Chief Producer Alexander Chikolowa

MISA Malawi has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Dzimwe Community Radio Chief Producer and presenter, Alexander Chikolowa.
Chikolowa died on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Zomba Central Hospital.
He joined Dzimwe Community Radio in July 2006 and dedicated more than 19 years to serving communities in Mangochi and surrounding areas through community broadcasting.
Throughout his career, he mentored many emerging community journalists and was widely respected for his professionalism and commitment to public service.
His burial is scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026, at Chitambuli Village in the area of Traditional Authority Likoswe in Chiradzulu District.
MISA Malawi has conveyed its condolences to the Chikolowa family, his colleagues at Dzimwe Community Radio and the entire media fraternity, saying his contribution to Malawi’s media industry will be greatly missed.
