Gurugram Police arrested a 19-year-old man following allegations that he brutally assaulted his live-in partner.
The victim’s mother alleged that her daughter was confined for three days and subjected to severe physical and sexual violence.
Acting on an emergency call made on February 19, officers from the Badshahpur police station rescued the young woman from the accused’s residence.
The student, who is pursuing biotechnology in Gurugram, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi and is reported to be stable.
Investigators revealed that the accused had grown suspicious of the victim and repeatedly attacked her during their stay together.
Police officials stated that multiple charges, including rape and assault, have been filed, with the possibility of additional sections being added after medical evaluation.
Authorities confirmed that the case has been classified as an “Identified Crime” to ensure close monitoring and a swift trial.
