Two Arrested Over Area 47 Burglary in Lilongwe

Lingadzi Police in Lilongwe have arrested two men on suspicion of burglary.
Lingadzi Police spokesperson Sergeant Maria Kumwenda identified the suspects as Alick Yohane, 26, and Isaac Kanyinji, 25.
According to Kumwenda, the two allegedly broke down the front door of Mphatso Mukiwa’s house in Area 47 in Lilongwe and stole an iPad 15, an iPhone 12, an HP laptop, and two car keys, all valued at K2,450,000.
After the incident, Mukiwa alerted Lingadzi Police, who rushed to the scene and, following investigations, arrested Yohane and Kanyinji.
Police say the suspects confessed to the crime and were found in possession of the tools they allegedly used to break into the house.
The two are expected to appear in court soon to answer burglary charges.
