Woman Arrested in Chikwawa for Illegal Possession of 60 Litres of Diesel

Police in Nchalo, Chikwawa District, have arrested a woman for allegedly being found in possession of 60 litres of diesel without a permit.
According to Sergeant Dickson Matemba, Public Relations Officer for Chikwawa Police, the suspect has been identified as Falesi Maluwa from Chanzunzika Village under Traditional Authority Ndakwera in the district.
Sergeant Matemba said the arrest took place yesterday after well-wishers tipped off the police about the suspected illegal fuel storage at her residence.
Upon conducting a search at the house, officers reportedly discovered 60 litres of diesel, leading to her immediate arrest.
She is expected to appear before court soon to answer charges related to illegal possession of fuel.
