Ruger to Perform at Gwamba’s Landlord Pakwao Concert in Lilongwe

Malawian vernacular rapper Gwamba has announced that Nigerian Afro-dancehall star Ruger will perform live at his upcoming concert scheduled for August 1 in Lilongwe.

Gwamba, who calls himself “Landlord,” made the announcement yesterday through his official Facebook page where he shared the event’s promotional poster.

The show has been branded the Landlord Pakwao Concert, although the exact venue in Lilongwe is yet to be announced.

In an interview, Gwamba said more details regarding the event will be revealed by the end of this month, including the Malawian artists who will perform and confirmation of the venue.

“More announcements as regards the show will be made by the end of this month. We will also unveil the Malawian artists who will perform at the concert and reveal the venue. This is going to be a big event,” he said.

Ruger, known for hit songs such as Girlfriend, Asiwaju and Dior, is expected to headline the concert. This will mark his first performance in Malawi.
