55 Vehicles Seized in Kawale for Violating Traffic Rules

Traffic Police in Kawale on March 5, 2026 impounded 55 motor vehicles for violating road traffic rules and regulations during an enforcement operation.
Kawale Police Publicist Precious Mavuto Phiri said the operation was led by Assistant Superintendent John Benjamin Nyangulu, the Station Traffic Officer.
According to Phiri, the police targeted unroadworthy vehicles along the Area 24 and Biwi routes.
During the operation, officers also found some drivers using goods vehicles to carry passengers for money, while others were carrying more passengers than the permitted limit.
The impounded vehicles were taken to Kawale and Area 24 Police Stations.
Some of the vehicles were later released after their owners paid the required fines.
