Mystery Death as Man Found Lifeless in Rented House

A 44-year-old man, identified as Peter Mulenga of Sibusu Compound in Monze District, has been found dead inside a house he rented alone.
According to reports, the deceased was last seen on March 5, 2026, around 8:00 PM at Ze Biggie Grocery Shop.
Two days later, his landlord became concerned after noticing that Mulenga had not been seen for some time.
When the landlord went to check on him, he found the door locked from the inside, with a strong foul smell coming from the house.
The landlord then broke the door to gain entry, where he discovered Mulenga lying lifeless on the bed.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Moono Namalongo said officers who visited the scene observed no visible injuries, except blood coming from the deceased’s nostrils.
The body has since been taken to Monze Mission Hospital Mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
