FC Nyasa Big Bullets has officially announced the signing of Emmanuel Kaunga, a center-back, who joins the club on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Kaunga, 27, joins The People’s Team from Silver Strikers, having previously played for **** (now Mzuzu City Hammers). The defender brings six seasons of top-flight experience to the Bullets squad.
“It’s a great pleasure for me to sign for this club and I am very happy to be here. Bullets is the biggest club in the country and it is always a dream for every player to play for this club,” Kaunga told Bullets Media after finalizing the deal.
Despite interest from multiple clubs, Kaunga said joining Bullets was an opportunity he could not refuse. “If you look at Bullets the structure, platform, and vision they align well with my ambitions. This is a massive club with a great history. What pushed me here is the legacy behind this club, especially in terms of trophies and achievements. I’m looking forward to making my own history here,” he added.
Kaunga also sent a message to the Red Army: “I believe the 2026/27 season will be great for us. We will push each other, work hard, and aim for greatness. I will give my full support to the team and do everything possible to make the supporters happy.”
Looking back at his career, Kaunga highlighted winning the TNM Super League with his previous club as one of his proudest achievements, and he aims to replicate that success with Bullets. He acknowledged the high expectations that come with representing the club but said he is ready for the challenge.
Kaunga revealed that Babatunde Adepoju, a former Bullets figure, played a key role in his decision to join the club. “He encouraged me to come here and I believe I made the right choice,” Kaunga said.
The defender officially joins The People’s Team as preparations for the upcoming season get underway this week.
