UTM Deputy Secretary-General Ben Chidyawonga Resigns

Ben Chidyawonga, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Transformation Movement (UTM), has resigned and is leaving the party.

Chidyawonga, who also served as the chairman of the party’s Cultural Committee, confirmed the development in an interview.

He said he has decided to leave the party in order to focus on other things outside politics.

“Everything has its time. I have now decided to leave politics and do other things. It is not that I have seen any problems,” said Ben Chidyawonga.

UTM spokesperson Felix Njawala said he was not aware of the development and asked for time to investigate the matter.
