Police Arrest Two Guards for Stealing Motorcycle, 126 Tyres in Lilongwe

Police in Kawale have arrested two security guards suspected of breaking into a warehouse in Area 22 and stealing items worth millions of Malawi Kwacha.
The stolen items include a brand-new motorcycle, iron sheets, and more than 126 car tyres.
Kawale Police Public Relations Officer, Mabvuto Precious Phiri, identified the suspects as 45-year-old Asafa Ali and 51-year-old Hassan Jalasi.
According to Phiri, police received a tip from well-wishers indicating that the two suspects were keeping valuable items believed to have been stolen.
Meanwhile, police have successfully recovered the stolen items.
