7-Year-Old Boy Killed in Motorbike Accident in Kasungu

Police in Kasungu have confirmed the death of a seven-year-old boy, Joice Phiri, who was hit by a motorbike at Mitekete Market in the district.
Kasungu Police spokesperson, Miracle Hauli, said the incident occurred on March 22 this year when the motorbike rider was travelling from Lifupa to Kasungu Town.
According to Hauli, the boy was walking with friends in the area when the rider struck him upon reaching Mitekete Market.
The child sustained serious injuries to his head and left side of the body and was rushed to Kasungu District Hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
