Man Dies by suicide in Neno

A 44-year-old man, Walason Malafi Mbingwani, has reportedly hanged himself to death in Neno.

Neno police spokesperson Sergeant Rebecca Msoliza said the deceased broke into a house and the owner demanded that he pay 150,000 kwacha.

In addition, on the 5th of this month, the deceased also stole vegetables and when the matter reached the chief, the chief ordered the village security forces to search for him until he was caught.

Upon hearing that he was being hunted, the deceased decided to hang himself in his house.

The hospital results showed that the elder died of suffocation.

He was from the village of Chimbalanga, belonging to the great chief Dambe in Neno.
