Chief Resident Magistrate Paul Chiotcha has ruled that Dutch national Wim Akster has a case to answer on five counts related to alleged sexual offences, while acquitting him on one count.

Akster is accused of committing acts of gross indecency and buggery involving male students and workers between 2019 and 2020.

The court heard that the alleged victims were associated with the Timotheos Foundation, where Akster was involved in overseeing activities.

Following the ruling, defence lawyer Michael Goba Chipeta requested 21 days to prepare for the defence case.
